Igor Mazepa shares hryvnia exchange rate forecasts by Concorde Capital

Igor Mazepa, investment banker, CEO and founder of the Concorde Capital investment company, presents Concorde Capital forecast for UAH exchange rate

Igor Mazepa shares Concorde Capital’s analysts’ projections that UAH/USD exchange rate will be about 28.5 UAH per 1 USD until the end of 2020.

 

“According to Concorde Capital, the hryvnia exchange rate will not change before the end of the year. Our forecasts: 1 USD = 27 UAH is an average rate in 2020, and the rate of 1 USD = 28.5 UAH will remain by the end of the year”, says Igor Mazepa.

 

“The appointment of Kyrylo Shevchenko as the National Bank Governor is among major reasons standing behind the hryvnia devaluation. News will shape the hryvnia exchange rate in the months to come. The devaluation sentiments will only intensify when it becomes clear that the central bank intends to weaken the UAH exchange rate artificially instead of trying to return the market to equilibrium by offsetting the negative news gradually”.
